Ron Savits has been the minister of the Newberry Church of Christ since 1991. He is a 1958 graduate of Williamsport High School. He received a Bachelor of Arts Ministerial Degree from Johnson Bible College (now Johnson University) in 1962 and a Master of Religious Education Degree from Emmanuel School of Religion (now Emmanuel Christian Seminary) in 1973. He has over fifty years experience in the preaching pastoral ministry. He has preached over one hundred fifty revival meetings and taught Church Growth Seminars in many other states. Having grown up in Newberry, he is happy to be a part of this community once again.
Bob Hart has been ministering with the Newberry Church of Christ since January 2002. He is a 1979 graduate of James Wood High School in Winchester, Virginia. He received a Bachelor of Arts in Biblical Studies with a major in preaching and a minor in youth ministry and Christian Education from Eastern Christian College in Bel Air, Maryland in 1984. He has completed part of his Master of Ministry from Cincinnati Christian University, Cincinnati OH. He has served churches in Virginia, Massachusetts and Pennsylvania. He married his college sweetheart Sara Martin Hart and they have four children, Lindsay, Ethan, Cameron, and Alissa. He enjoys hunting, fishing, running, hiking, and spending time around the campfire with good friends. His life purpose is to love God, to love God’s people and to love God’s world and his mission statement is “To know Christ and to make Christ known” Philippians 3:10 and Colollians 1:28 – 2:5.
